Hi I’m Sarah the Discover Brightwater Community and Training Manager, part of my role is overseeing most of the history and heritage projects that will be taking place in Brightwater over the next few years.
I’m fairly new to the area, just over a year so I’m busy discovering all of the fascinating places and events that have taken place over the centuries. I also love Industrial History my previous job was managing two Industrial History Museums and this area has so much of it, some of which I knew about before but I’m discovering just how much and how varied the history of the area is.
Because at the moment I can’t be out and about like normal meeting you lovely lot at workshops, talks and events I thought I should maybe try and put an A to Z of the History of the Discover Brightwater area together but I need your help, any suggestions for any letters will be greatly appreciated especially x and z seriously ideas are greatly appreciated, any interesting facts or stories I’ve missed please share them with us.
