30 Days Wild is The Wildlife Trusts’ annual nature challenge where they ask the nation to do one ‘wild’ thing a day every day throughout June.

Would you like to join in the UK’s biggest nature challenge!!

Your daily  Random Acts of Wildness can be anything you like – litter-picking, birdwatching, puddle-splashing, you name it! But to help you on your way, The Wildlife Trusts will also provide you with a FREE postal or digital pack of goodies to inspire your wild month – including an activity passport and a wall chart to track your progress.

Alongside all of these benefits, taking part in 30 Days Wild is  scientifically proven  to make you feel happier, healthier, and more connected to nature.

In 2020, more than half a million people got involved, from families and couples to teachers, care homes and workplaces. Everyone’s invited!

The Big WILD Picnic

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Durham Wildlife Trust, we’re inviting you to join the Big Wild Picnic.

When?

Saturday 26th June from 1pm

Where?

Your favourite wild space! It could be your garden, the local park or a nearby nature reserve.

Why?

Durham Wildlife Trust has spent the past fifty years working from Tees to Tyne to help protect the wild spaces that make this region so wonderful for future generations. And we think that’s something to celebrate.

If the past year has taught us anything, it’s that nature is vital for our health and wellbeing. So let’s get together (figuratively speaking) and have a little picnic party to enjoy all that the wildlife on our doorsteps has to offer.

How do I join in?

Simply sign-up here, and you’ll receive a FREE digital picnic pack. It contains information on where you might hold your picnic, some inspiration of wildlife-themed edible goodies, downloadable bunting and cake flags plus some seasonal spotting sheets to keep your picnic party participants entertained.
